Anti-Aging, Baby Boomers and Tina Turbin by Kris Nickerson

More energy, better looks, improved health, longer life

Baby boomers don't just want to live longer, they want it all - better looks, longer life and improved health. Watching elderly friends and family suffer or living from doctor appointment to doctor appointment just doesn't interest them. Growing older is fine, we just don't want to look and feel "old". But will changing our schedule to include exercise and buying organic be enough?

Whether your male or female, by the time that we are 60, muscle strength has dropped to about half along with lung capacity and we've also lost a good deal of bone. Many women, after menopause, have an unsuccessful battle with weight gain that sits on their waists and hips. Breast cancer also increases as hormones get out of balance and diminish rapidly. For men, declining hormone levels have been linked to testicle cancer and a host of other ills. While the exercise and organic foods may help, there are some other changes that we need to look at as well.

The best time to start on an effective anti-aging program is now, regardless of when "now" is. Aging happens when cell death begins. Today's life expectancy is near doubled that of a century ago at 42 years old. There are many seniors in their 90's, over 70,000 centenarians in the U.S.A. and this is expected to double in the next 5 to 10 years. We have advancements in medicine and technology which are great contributors to these changes in life expectancy. This longer lifespan is great but we want a high QUALITY of life as well. We want a long "healthspan" to go with that long "lifespan".

We can help make our cells stay healthy from within by a number of means yet there are a few key points which are tried and true and really make a difference. Yes, exercising and a healthy diet are definitely a start. As we know the American diet is deficient in many essential nutrients, resulting in degenerative diseases. Even if we follow a healthy diet, our way of farming has depleted the soil of many essential minerals. Now we add the poor effects of pollution, use of refined sugar, high fat (especially trans-fat), high simple sugars, and high salt in many of our boxes or frozen foods, our need for supplementation is magnified.

For this reason, one of the key factors in any effective anti-aging program is nutritional supplements. Although there is no "one shot wonder" supplement that can reverse aging, we do know that combining various specific supplements, exercise and a good diet with a proper protocol from a well trained anti-aging doctor will improve ones physical life. This means more energy, better looks, better health and a longer lifespan. There is even more we can do and many of us are doing this with rave successes.

At times any one of us may have adverse reactions to any particular food we are eating, undermining all the hard work we are doing. Digestive disturbances of all sorts are rampant amongst people as they hit their early 40's. Proper enzymes to help digestion and even proper allergy tests may be necessary. Many people are gluten or dairy intolerant (http://GlutenFreeHelp.info) and not even know it, living with all sorts of symptoms easily resolved.

Bio-identical hormones have become another key factor for an effective anti-aging program in many baby boomer's lives. There are many reports of feeling better than ever, pain diminishing or gone completely, ability to exercise with vigor, reduced wrinkles, sleeping better, having energy like "when I was a kid" and many more.

There are bio-identical pharmacies now and doctors and surgeons are now starting to include anti-aging protocol. Many stating they were tired of not being able to truly help and they knew there was something missing -- and they were right.

The protocols need to be and are individual as we are all personally individual, have different life styles and some of us may get a bit more aggressive on the regimen, due to our own nature or simply time and or money. The anti-aging doctor knows precisely how to read our lab results and guide us properly towards our own goals.

Tina believes that it's best to begin this type of protocol with some education in the area and stepping into it feeling this is the correct choice for oneself. As we age our hormones decline towards low levels which totally explain many symptoms and illnesses our parents are feeling on a daily basis. With the inclusion of a proper complete protocol with an expert anti aging doctor, we can fulfill our dreams for living many long, happy and healthy years.
